Three Things Thursday

1. Balance. Trying to balance everything that needs to get done in the day, with everything that I want to get done in a day…it’s ongoing. I’m learning that maybe we can’t do every.single.thing, and I’m shifting some ‘priorities’ around. Declan had a late nap today and at 4:30pm, I was being tortured by a 4 year old who was dying to go to the park. We compromised on an after dinner walk (which a tired mama didn’t really want to do either). But she clearly had energy to burn, as she ran the whole way and had so much fun on ‘our trail’. It was worth it and the dishes got done when we got home. I’d say it’s working…I was greeted with an “I love this family” from big sister when I came out of Declan’s room after putting him to sleep tonight. I’ll take it.

2. Enjoying. Daylight savings. I know the shift in time can be a pain in the butt, especially with young kids. But we’re doing pretty well over here. With post-dinner walks being an actual possibility now. Bonus. And Declan sleeping past 9am this morning? Even better. I will not complain about the creepy, crawly eight-legged friends that have shown up in the house with the warmer weather (my vacuum is my best friend). I believe most of the country is buried under snow.

3. Lastly…even though it’s not Friday, I have not done a photo dump in a long time. Here ya go!

About Tammy

I am a single mother to 2 wonderful children, ages 1 and 5. My youngest was surprisingly born with a rare genetic condition, achondroplasia, which is a type of dwarfism. This blog is a glimpse into my crazy life as I wade through figuring out dwarfism and divorce while enjoying every second of my deficient domestic bliss.
